Expert's Comments:
I
enjoyed Adventures In Dreamtime and have had the occasion to recommend
it to not only people with young children, but also to adults with
whom I have been working in counselling. Your book is presented
in a simple, fun type manner but it's message is very profound.
Learning how to face one's fears is an extremely important life
skill that many people are never taught. Adventures In Dreamtime
gives the steps that children and adults can take to face fear and
bring courage and faith into everyday life. We work with people,
here at the Family Counselling Centre, who are really struggling
in their lives. These individuals often have not learned how to
face their fears and therefore have not felt the power, confidence
and strength that are produced when fear is met directly. Adventures
In Dreamtime provides a vehicle to teach children at a young age
how to face their fears and connect to their inner power and strength.
Its message is key. It gives children what they need to meet life's
challenges and develop into strong problem-solving adults who are
not afraid to face whatever life might give them. Adventures In
Dreamtime gives a little wisdom to children and adults and I am
priviledged to have been given the opportunity to review it. All
the best to you and your husband in your future endeavours - you
have very important messages to share with others! Mrs. G. Furlan,
M.S.W. C.S.W. Executive Director of The Family Counselling Centre,
Ontario Canada.

Library Journal's Review in the JAN 99 Issue "K-Gr 2. A little
owl asks his teacher, the Dream Wizard why we have bad dreams. To answer
that question, DreamWizard tells a tale about Paradigm the Dragon, who
lives in a cave weakened by an earthquake. Paradigm knows he should move
out, but his fear of the unknown and change cause him to procrastinate.
That night, Dream Wizard sprinkles magic Dream Dust on the sleeping dragon
to help change his nightmare. This time he dreams that he runs into Storm
Bear's cave and the animal gives him advice: Face your fears and embrace
them because "fear is...faith returning" so Paradigm decides to have a
"Paradigm Shift!" and face the monster. Upon awakening, he begins to write
down his dreams and learns from them." "Nicole and John are brilliant
story makers. Adventures In Dreamtime has a musical flair that touches
the heart, enlivens young minds and gives dignity to the important subject
of fear and faith." - Jean A. Schweizer, Ph.D. Director of Education
and Grandmother"
